About Ilana
I was a preschool teacher for three years, a student aide for one year, a peer tutor for a semester, and am a published author. Reading and writing are two of my passions and I love helping children learn in a way tailored to them. Typical school education is not the right form of learning for all students and as a person with a learning disability and as the sister of a person with multiple learning disabilities, I understand that staring at a whiteboard while someone talks at you is not the best way for everyone to process information. I work with students to create a lesson plan based on their specific needs to be able to help them best.
