12 Week Beginner to Songwriter Guitar Workshop offered by lifelong musician and songwriter

Had a great experience learning guitar with Callum. I’d tried teaching myself a couple of times before but always ended up giving up, so having an actual 12-week plan made a massive difference.

The lessons were really informal and there was never any pressure if I struggled with something. Callum was happy to slow things down, explain it differently or spend a bit longer on something until it clicked. At the same time, I was surprised by how quickly we progressed.

We worked on chords, rhythm, strumming, changing between chords and learning songs that I’d actually chosen myself. Towards the end we also did a bit of songwriting and composition and looked at how you can take a few chords or a simple idea and actually turn it into something musical.

After 12 weeks I could sit down, pick up the guitar and play songs I actually liked, which was exactly what I wanted when I started. More importantly, I came away wanting to keep playing rather than feeling like learning guitar was a chore.

Callum’s patient, encouraging and good fun to learn with. I’d happily recommend him, especially to someone who’s never played before or has tried learning in the past and struggled to stick with it.
