My approach to tutoring will be centred on the student’s class content. To start each session, I will go through the lesson taught by the student’s teacher in a more thorough, slower paced and detailed manner. Then, I will do a few homework questions along with the student, ensuring that they understand the concept and relating the methods used back to the original lesson. I will then begin to allow the student to attempt homework with more independence, stepping in if they begin to struggle, make a mistake, or need guidance.
