About Kimberly

If you didn't already know, my name is Kimberly and I am currently attending year 10, (senior secondary schooling.) I was a student leader twice( (year 6, and year 9), both times being elected by the students, and staff of my school. I have always had a passion to help others. I have always been the student who assists others in the class to better understand the topic we are learning. During my junior secondary schooling years, I assisted classmates and students of younger year levels during lunch breaks and afterschool who needed assistance in understanding the topic, or assessments. I can see how much of an impact my help has given my past students in the past, so I have extended my aid in hopes of assisting more students around, or even far away from my area.

More about me:
I excel in all subjects at school, plus the extra-curricular activities that made my school proud. I play various instruments ranging from the violin, piano, guitar/bass guitar, percussion instruments, and endless more. I am part of multiple STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)activities and competitions such as Robotics, ICAS, Maths Challenge, and most importantly F1 in schools where I will be going competing in the National Finals after winning Champion of Regional and State finals, alongside achieving 8 different category awards.

About the lesson

If you are a student who learns better with one-on-one learning, going through a thorough step-by-step explanation without the need of boredom, or a parent/caretaker who may not have time to assist their child with homework or general understanding of their school work, I am the tutor for you. I will be teaching using visuals such as powerpoints, worksheets, and activities that will help students understand the process of evaluating and understanding. I will be doing both theory lessons, as well as hands-on engaging activities that will help students to gain a thorough understanding of their topic. I specialize with students who are within the year 5-9 stage.

Basic Lesson Structure:
Lessons can vary from 30mins to 3 hours, depending on the student's availability, year level, and subject choice.

Starting off with revision and review of what they understand and know. This will give both the student and I a clear understanding of what must be taught in the current and future lessons surrounding the topic. This helps prevent overlapping and both the student and I will be able to utilize the time paid without unnecessary topics, making the money worth it.

Experience:
Over the course of my junior high school years, I tutored and helped students within my school during lunch breaks or after school to achieve better grades and a better understanding of topics that they took. I was able to provide aid in time management and breaking down of topics specifically for their units. This especially helped students who were transitioning from Primary to Secondary Schooling, which is why I target students who are in this stage of schooling. Now that I am bringing my tutoring online, I hope to help many others to achieve what my previous students were able to achieve too.
