About Mercey

I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Diploma in Classical Violin. My training in classical music gives me a strong foundation, but my true passion lies in exploring crossover styles. I love blending the violin with jazz, rock, hip-hop strings, and world music. These genres open up creative possibilities and show students how versatile the violin can truly be. I use improvisation, looping pedals, and performance techniques to make lessons fresh and exciting. In my teaching, I encourage students to write their own solos and explore original ideas. I also guide them in adapting popular songs, so they can play the music they already love in their own style. Along the way, we experiment with tone, texture, and sound effects to expand what the violin can express. My lessons combine technical growth with artistic freedom. About the lesson
