About Nelson

I am a year 12 student currently doing my a levels. I’ve achieved 8 GCSEs at grade 7-9 and have had a passion in the guitar and music since year 2. I’ve loved playing and continue to love it; I want to help students learn the instrument; realise the skills and values it teaches you and most importantly not give up on the guitar, as it was something I went through but managed to overcome. And my passion became even stronger after. I’m in the process of building my own guitar from scratch, so have more than just performance and theory knowledge on the guitar. Overall I’m very passionate about sharing my knowledge, experience and skills and helping others reach those goals.

About the lesson

I Help the student not only with the correct technique, but why the technique it is correct, including different ways to play the same chords, understanding of forming chords, playing and understanding melodies and how to make a clear and round sound. A typical lesson length is usually any time from 30 minutes to 1 hour, whatever is most flexible and comfortable for the student. I don’t previously have any professional experience as a tutor, but am very passionate about helping people reach their goals in guitar, and not to give up on the instrument, as it is very very common. I mainly aim to help students working at very beginner to grade 5-6
