About Harriet
I’m Harriet, a 13-year-old English tutor based in Geelong, offering lessons for students in Prep to Grade 3. I create a calm, patient, and fun learning space where kids feel supported, understood, and excited to learn.
Because I’m close in age to my students, I genuinely get how kids think, feel, and learn. I know what keeps them engaged, what stresses them out, and what makes learning enjoyable. During the first week, I spend time chatting and observing so I can understand each child’s needs and personalize every lesson for them.
My sessions run for 30-45 minutes, focusing on building confidence, improving reading and writing skills, and making English feel easy rather than overwhelming. I currently tutor Geelong-area students only, keeping things local and accessible.

My teaching methods are designed for each student. The first week I'll have a look and chat to my student to understand their needs, I'll create a fun and patient space. Lessons will go for 30 to 45 minutes. I teach students from prep to grade 3. As a 13-year-old tutor, I understand how kids think, feel, and learn. I’m close enough in age to connect with them easily, but mature enough to guide them with patience and encouragement. Kids feel safe, understood, and supported - which makes learning so much easier.
