About Jannie

Teaching exists because a mentor once rebuilt my understanding from the ground up, and I have been repaying that debt ever since. It feels slightly strange to admit that half of this job involves singing while the other half focuses entirely on building unshakeable confidence in my students. My students range from complete beginners to people performing at a serious level, all of whom benefit from my BFA Music Theatre degree.

I treat both vocal skill and stage presence as teachable subjects that require honest work. My teaching philosophy centers on realistic goals and measurable progress.

About the lesson

Providing 6.0 out of 10 difficulty routines makes my sessions distinct because I prioritize specific vocal health and care for every singer. I focus on vocal range extension, head and chest voice, harmony singing, tone and resonance, plus rhythm and phrasing to ensure you understand the mechanics of legit repertoire.

My background in Music Theatre shapes how I guide students through the nuances of Rodgers and Hammerstein or Lerner and Loewe. Recorded warm-up routines shared for daily home practice keep your development moving forward between our meetings. These 2 years of teaching have taught me that success looks like you solving a problem I never showed you.
