About Janet
"The sound of pieces clicking against the board signifies a moment of intense focus for my students. I teach because watching a player connect opening repertoire building with middlegame planning is incredibly rewarding.
My 9 years of experience allows me to spot patterns quickly while emphasising king safety. Holding a BSc Mathematics from Oxford helps me break down complex attacking play into manageable steps. My students range from those catching up to top-band candidates.
I diagnose the gaps first, then build up fast. You can expect a calm and logical approach to your training. We will focus on blunder checking and time management to ensure your games remain disciplined."

"Strategic victory comes from understanding the board state before making your next move. Opening repertoire built for you forms the core of our technical training.
