About Harmony
Algebra relies on PATTERN RECOGNITION which I teach by keeping the focus on logic rather than rote memorization. My path into education started after a long career that had nothing to do with classrooms, allowing me to view math from a different perspective. I assist individuals starting from zero as well as those stuck halfway through complex problems.
Working with homeschoolers, college students and middle schoolers requires a calm, supportive and rigorous approach. I keep the administrative side light so the time we share remains productive.
My work centers on building real understanding before a student to perform any drilling. I prioritize building foundational confidence in every learner. I am ready to help you succeed.

Algebra often feels like a locked door until you identify the hidden structure within the numbers. I use a short diagnostic in the first session to see where your specific barriers exist.
This initial check allows us to tackle factoring, polynomials, and inequalities without wasting time on what you already know. Linear equations and the quadratic formula become manageable once you see the underlying patterns. My degree from the University of Washington informs how I break down slope and absolute value concepts for students of all ages. You will find that math is far less intimidating when we focus on logical connections.
