About Dion
Computer programming acts as a bridge between abstract logic and tangible results for my 73 students. I build lessons around project-based learning using Python, JavaScript, and C++.
My background includes deep dives into data structures, object-oriented programming, and SQL databases. I also enjoy guiding students through competitive programming challenges or web development basics like HTML and CSS. You will find that I emphasize the internal mechanics of code rather than just syntax, as this is how you actually learn to think like a developer.

The first session acts as a free trial to gauge your current skill level and set a productive pace. Coding is actually quite fun when you stop guessing and start building logic. I use my MSc degree from UC Berkeley to break down complex algorithms into simple steps for you. Since I have 5 years of experience, I know how to pivot when a concept feels stuck.
We will look at your specific goals during these 9 sessions. It is quite rewarding to watch a program run without errors for the first time.
