I struggled a great deal in Secondary school to learn how to solve a problem, and I remember feeling so lost and confused because I just didn't understand why I wasn't getting it. My teacher, Mr.Teh and Mr.Thiaga, began tutoring me after school, and them quickly realized that the root of my problem was that I was struggling to grasp the concept of hard and soft sounds. They began using sandpaper to show me the difference, and it worked. I've always been so grateful for their innovation and commitment to meet me where I was, values that I strive to use in my own teaching."
