About Steven
Why do some students find math so intimidating when the logic is actually quite elegant? I started teaching 13 years ago because I realized many students struggle with weak foundations rather than a lack of intelligence.
My personal narrative involves years of turning shaky concepts into robust, confident problem-solving habits for exam candidates. I bring expertise in trigonometry, statistics and probability, SAT and ACT math prep, and algebra to every session. My goal is to ensure you gain total CONCEPTUAL LEARNING clarity throughout our time together.
I work with advanced learners and students needing help to solidify their core skills. You will find my approach very direct and focused on your specific progress.

Admitting you do not understand a core concept is the most effective way to start our work together. I use my 13 years of experience and my PhD studies to strip away the confusion of complex topics. We will examine your current knowledge gaps and systematically rebuild them. I provide concept maps for every chapter to help you visualize how different sections of math relate.
You will receive clear, logical explanations that prioritize understanding over memorization. This is the most efficient way to prepare for exams. My method relies on consistent, methodical review of your work. You should expect to be challenged to think critically about every equation.
