About Nick

I enjoy teaching and taking my time in anything I do in order to do it at the highest level I can and especially when it is a service to someone else. I would be honoured to help you with something as meaningful and special to you as your own songs. I have helped many others do the same and have written many songs at other’s request and provided the words that captured the feeling they wanted to express. I pour everything into my art and I find I put even more into the art of other’s when they trust me to help them with it. That was the biggest and most pleasant surprise so far in my songwriting career; how much I enjoy writing for others and making them happy. I have written hundreds of songs in my life and lend my lyrics and vocals to a new one almost every other day or so. Most are created collaboratively with producers all over the world. I do produce and compose music myself as well and can certainly help you with that too. I am a self taught piano player, guitar player and former professional drummer. My Toronto based band saw international success about eleven years ago which was the catalyst to huge self improvement musically for me.

About the lesson

A seasoned song writer is intentional with almost every step of the process and every move they make. There is a who, why, what, and how to the process and even where and when. By this I mean that you can unlock the very best of you and your best ideas and a better way of organizing them and so on by implementing new methods, practices and by asking yourself questions you might not have before. It might sound cliche but masterful songwriters possess their own process and follow and yes, trust it. That will certainly sound cheesy if you are not yet sure of what your own process is or if you even have one or how to go about finding yours. I can help you do that and help you learn how to use it. The trust will come in time as your process is refined and solidified. It will evolve a bit and mature and change but if it is built from the proper foundation with intent and tailored to suit you and your artistic taste and the way you function then it won’t flip completely. It will always be rooted in the same foundation and after it produces more and more songs of increasing quality then you have your trust.
