About Ryan

Rough Back ground, emotionally sensitive and intelligent. very creative both in poetic and design arts, and do my best to empathise and learn from those I don't understand, at first.
Currently Working on getting a Rock band together, writing a horror romance novel, and part of a homeless out reach charity; I am striving to produce enough funds so all 3 of these projects are successful so they reach out to as many people in need (of course helping people on the way as my character continues to develop)

Before Teaching a client, I must understand the client; for the client to understand my work is 'working' for ones self.

First;
Why do you want to learn this?
Who/what inspired you to want to learn this?
What do you want to take away from learning this?
Where do you see later on with this new knowledge?

And lastly, How would you want to go about this?

Option 1; Explore on your own

I set home work to complete within what time it takes to complete it, there are students (as myself) who prepare to take there work away and come back with what they have produced.
This way, I am able to see where the student succeeded, went wrong and how to improve next time.

If the client succeeded more then 80% correct; its a pass, I advise what they can do next time to get more progress out of there effort (Teaching one to work smarter, not harder)

If the client has significantly gone under 80%; no home work is set for next time. alternatively, the next encounter will be a sit down to re-explain my methods more clearly.
Once I and the client are confident he/she what needs to be done and can go away again to succeeded over 80% (Everyone learns at there own pace). Additional home work is given, but is completely optional.

option 2; Traditional Desk work
simply sitting down with the client and going though the work with them, some people may need a helping hand more then others and there's no shame in that.
this also gives me the opportunity to go though the who, what, where, why and how again, further expanding on the knowledge of my client; there goals, passions, back ground, hobbies, Regrets, fears, love interests; all these elements go into the making of music and finding ones own voice.

Other methods;

Visual learning involves drawing, describing imagery and a lot of analogy's.
Maybe drawing what there going though, what they fear, where they see them self, a form of media that inspires them.
An example for an analogy "in order to stand your ground, you must ground yourself. like a tree absorbing the greatness of the earth and so grounded he can't be pushed over".

comfort barriers
(this is a method I use myself, trust me it works)
There are 2 ways to go about this.
in a sweet socially awkward situation (i.e. asking a girl/boy out they really like, or simple singing in public). say if they want to write a love song, but haven't had that emotional discomfort before.

Then there's the scary horrible option.
ways of achieving this is playing horror games in the dark, read scary books, do something there afraid (i.e. handling snakes or spiders, climbing from heights, try swimming in the deep end. All of these must be in a controlled environment of course)
