Perfect! Impossible to recommend Ian enough!!! Lessons were so musically rich, extremely clear, educational and most of all great fun.

Ian has a varied and thorough pedagogy which adapted to my needs and interests - from practical exercises on the guitar, to writing out theory for me on music sheets in an understandable way when it came to learning new and more complex sets of chords and transitions, as well as offering homework exercises to reinforce my learning.

Ian taught me music of many different genres according to my interests: folk, jazz, rock, blues.

He gives great encouragement and instruction, which for a new learner massively improved my confidence, technical ability and my motivation on the instrument in just a short space of time. Ian helped me learn some of my favourite songs, and even helped me creatively when I decided to write some of my own.

It is a joy to take lessons with him! An incredibly proficient versatile creative guitarist and teacher with decades of professional music (touring) and teaching experience that just can't be paralleled.
