About Mieke
Hi dear future students. My name is Mieke, and i would like to introduce myself. I am currently a first year student at the University of Potchefstoom doing distance learning in my BEd Education. I believe that each and every student should believe in themselves and inspire others to be positive. I aspire to be the teacher that I never had growing up. I encourage students to be the best version of themselves. The possibilities are endless, as long as you believe in yourself! In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, a good series on Netflix, and to go ride my horse at the stables! It is so therapeutic. I have 1 horse and 4 dogs and i love them endlessly!

I am gentle yet firm with my students. There are set boundaries, and I strive to be there for each of my students. I love the kids I work with and have a great passion for children. I have also dealt with kids with learning trouble, such as ADHD and ADD. I treat them no differently but know how to help them achieve the best possible with given circumstances. I believe in routine and find small breaks very beneficial to the students. I help them study, find methods that suit each individual learning, and help/support them not only in an academic manner but also in an emotional manner.
