About Caila

Caila Katz is a professional Musical Theatre dancer, singer, and actress. She began her career right out of college, booking her first job two months after graduation and working consistently ever since. Caila has been dancing since she was about four years old and believes deeply in the art form's importance in daily life.
Whether you are looking for a first-time introduction to dance, to hone more advanced techniques, or for someone who will coach you to the finish line of your most intimidating audition, Caila would be ecstatic to help!

About the lesson

Caila loves to aid people in the development of their unique artistry and aesthetic skill-set. To do so, she encourages deep exploration of self-awareness, sensory acuity, and kinesthetic perception. Her lessons adapt to meet each student where they are and encourage them to explore their wide range of human expression.

Caila believes all art forms rely on a balance of technical ability and individuality, and she creates a safe environment of play and exploration to inspire students to learn without the fear of failure.
She believes strongly in the power of art as a lens for understanding the world, our bodies, and our emotions, and she uses her skillset and hopeful mindset to help empower future dancers.
A typical lesson will include warming-up, strength and flexibility progressions, learning choreography, honing in on technique, and if necessary getting students audition ready.
