About Daniel
Hello! I’m Daniel — an award-winning film and television director with over twenty years of experience working across BBC, ITV and Channel 4 productions, including EastEnders, Doctors, Holby City, Emmerdale, Waterloo Road and Coronation Street. My feature films include The Devil Went Down to Islington and Play Dead (2025). Alongside my directing work, I’ve trained and mentored new directors at the BBC and co-founded Widescope Creative, a training initiative providing accessible Film & TV courses that are now used by regional education bodies. I love helping learners of all levels develop creative confidence and practical understanding of how film and television really work. I offer one-to-one online sessions in: Film & Television Production and Directing Screenwriting and Story Development Film and TV History, Genre and Theory Industry Insight, Portfolio and Project Support My approach is friendly, encouraging and hands-on — rooted in real professional experience. Whether you’re preparing for exams, developing your own film ideas, or just exploring the craft, I’ll tailor lessons to your interests and goals. Let’s work together to sharpen your creative skills, understand the art and history of screen storytelling, and help you find your unique voice in Film and Television.
