About Ella
I’m Ella, an experienced English tutor with a passion for unleashing the full potential of every student. With a firm belief that every individual is unique and learns in their own distinctive way, I tailor each lessons to bring out the best in each student. I have taught English Literature privately to Primary School aged students, GCSE and A Level, and also offer ELAT tutoring.
I'm an English Literature University of Cambridge graduate, where I was awarded prizes for outstanding academic performance. The course provided me with a diverse understanding of texts, alongside teaching and learning styles. My Literature and Language GCSE's and Literature A Level were marked 100%, so I have a strong understanding of exam technique.

When teaching students, I take a holistic approach and spend time exploring the best way for them to learn as an individual. This means that my teaching methods are moulded to the specific learner. I firmly believe that learning should be an enjoyable and engaging journey, and I strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment that allows students to flourish. I use a tailored approach to address individual goals and challenges and help students build confidence in their abilities.
Previous students have achieved A* at GCSE and A Level and have gone on to highly competitive selective schools, as well as Oxford, Cambridge and Cornell University. I have considerable experience working with students for whom English is not a first language.
