About Alex

Coming from a musical family, music has always been a very big part in my life. I have played music for the past 7 years with a background in bass, piano, guitar, drums, and ukulele.

I graduated Year 12 in 2020, becoming DUX of VCE music at my high school. I was asked by the VCAA to audition for Top Class 2021, a concert of all of the top VCE music students in Victoria. I managed to score an A+ in my final recital, giving me the highest score possible in Victoria for VCE recitals.

I am now currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Australian Institute of Music, Majoring in the Bass Guitar. I have received many high distinctions and distinctions throughout my first 2 trimesters.

I generally play a variety of different gigs throughout each year, including musical theatre, bars, pubs, weddings and functions.

I am looking to make music my career path.

About the lesson

I strive to make my lessons fun, enjoyable and fruitful with information.

I make individual lesson plans for each of my students, helping them improve in areas of weakness, as well as nurturing their areas of strength.

I am able to teach a wide range of genres including jazz, pop, rock, blues, latin, Motown/soul etc.

I have strong background in music theory, and can teach scales and chords, however can also cater to students who do not wish to learn theory, rather teaching primarily songs through chords, lead lines, and bass lines. Both of these methods can help students become great musicians.
