About Rebekah
Hi I’m Rebekah but I go by Bekah! I’ve been dancing since I was 3! I grew up dancing at Encore Studio Of Performing Arts! here in Elk Grove. I started my choreography/ teaching career only at 13. I always say that you are either built to be a dancer or a choreographer, and I fall under the choreography category. My favorite dances to teach are tap, lyrical, jazz, and contemporary. I come from a very technical background and I hope to pass my knowledge to you

A typical class with me spans over the course of 60 minutes (or more)! I always start off with a cardio warmup as well as a stretching session. I take time to breakdown movements and choreography in a technical way helping students retain the proper technique, and corrections. The biggest factor for me as a choreographer is telling a story, I take the time to assess the dancer making sure that the choreography is challenging while showcasing the dancers strengths. I teach based off of the typical 8 count method, but my choreography is based off of lyrics. So if a
a dancer struggles with hitting the right counts I teach lyric by lyric while giving them the proper counts and timing! It is so important to me to give the dancer(s) words of affirmation to help boost their confidence.
