My classes are geared towards self-directed musicians and beginner producers. Mixing is a complex task and a producer has to juggle a lot of ideas at once! My lessons aim to give you the skills to make good choices for whatever genre you work in.

In my lessons I aim to give understanding of the basic mixing fundamentals such as EQ, compression, pan, volume and automation. If appropriate, I can also make suggestions about instrumental arrangement, songwriting and song structure, which are essential for good production.

If the student needs, we can also go over DAW basics (the DAW is the program used to record and mix).

A typical lesson:

For students who have already started writing or recording, I can give tips and tricks to improve the mix while explaining the fundamentals. There are a lot of shorthand tricks that can make things a lot easier!

For complete beginners we can start writing a song together and using the DAW, and work towards having a full mix ready to go!

The first lesson is free. This is so that you can decide if my skills are a good fit for you, in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.
