About Andrew

Becoming a parent made me realize something simple. If a young person grows up around a business owner or senior manager, they naturally absorb how money, work and decisions actually function. If they do not, they may have no one to learn it from. School career guidance can explain job titles, but rarely shows what those jobs actually look like in real life.

I want to share what I have learned about business, money, careers, leadership and decision making with young people before they have to discover all of it through trial and error.

*My Background*

I am an international business executive and strategic advisor with more than 15 years of experience across Europe, the CIS, Central Asia and Asia Pacific. I became a CEO at 25 and have since built, managed and transformed businesses across multiple industries and markets.

For almost a decade, I led the regional business of one of Austria’s leading woodworking-machinery and technology companies, with full responsibility for strategy, P&L, operations and more than 100 employees across six branches. Sales increased more than sixfold, market share tripled to 15 percent, and the client base grew beyond 5,000 organizations.

Under my leadership, the company was named Top Austrian CIS Company in the Trade Category by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, WKO, among more than 2,000 Austrian businesses operating across the region. It also ranked among the five best performing subsidiaries within the global group.

Today, I am Managing Director and Partner at one of the world’s oldest privately owned branding and design consultancies, founded in the United Kingdom in 1964, combining executive management with strategic and operational consulting. I have personally led and delivered more than 20 business projects covering market entry, strategy, financial modeling, business launches, commercial growth, operational transformation and international expansion.

*Education and teaching*

I hold an MBA from IBS RANEPA with distinction, an MSc in Management from RANEPA with distinction, and an engineering degree from Moscow Aviation Institute.

I also completed executive programs at Harvard Business School in Strategy, Leadership and Management, as well as the Strategic Management Program at Deutsche Management Akademie Niedersachsen in Germany.

Alongside my executive career, I teach senior executives and business owners on a DBA program, mentor through the Association of MBAs in the UK, sit on the Board of Trustees of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and am a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society.

About the lesson

I work one to one with teenagers aged 14 to 18 who want to understand how business actually works - and, in most cases, to build something of their own.

? What we do in a session
Sessions are 60 minutes, online. Most of the talking is done by the student. I ask questions, we work through real decisions, and I explain what I would do and why. This is not a lecture and not a repeat of a school textbook. It is the kind of conversation a teenager would normally only have if a senior executive happened to be sitting at their kitchen table.

? What we cover
- How a business is built: product, customers, money, people, risk
- Finance: unit economics, financial models, profit versus cash flow
- Launching your own project, from idea to first revenue
- Career choice from the inside: what people in different industries really do all day, and what employers actually look for when they hire
- Using AI as a working tool

? What the student leaves with
Every programme produces something concrete: a working financial model, a launched micro-project with real revenue, a pitch, or a two-year plan. Not motivation - a document you can show.

? How I work
After each session there is a short practical task. Parents receive a brief written update. Sessions are recorded and the recording is available to the family. The first lesson is free: we meet, look at where the student is, and I will tell you honestly whether I can be useful.

? Who this is not for
If you need exam preparation in economics or business studies, I am not the right person. And if the student has no interest and is being sent by a parent, it will not work - for either of us.
