About Ellie
In summer 2018, I graduated from Cambridge University with a distinction in my MPhil in European, Latin American, and Comparative literatures and cultures (specialising in French literature). I have recently received an offer to start my PhD in French at Cambridge University in October 2019. I am looking to offer tuition in French, Italian, and to offer help with university applications, in particular personal statements. I have previous experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level French and lived and worked in Italy for 9 months as an English Language Assistant.

I don't have a specific teaching methodology and believe that it is best to adapt my style to the needs and wishes of each tutee. This might include help with homework, working through past exam papers, or explanation of grammar, but hands-on practice will be prioritised. Nevertheless, I am willing to discuss this and develop a plan with the tutee at the start of our lessons.
