For Strength of Materials : BARS, BEAMS (SHEAR FORCE DIAGRAM & BENDING MOMENT DIAGRAM), TORSION OF SHAFTS AND SPRINGS, DEFLECTION OF BEAMS, FAILURE THEORIES, PRINCIPAL STRESSES AND STRAINS.
IN FEA,
1.Deriving the governing differential equation of one dimensional and two dimensional structural and thermal problems. (Eg; bars, beams, 1d heat transfer, heat transfer in a long cylinder, plates, etc)
2.Solving the governing differential equation by
i)Point Collocation method ----- ii)Subdomain Collocation method ------------> iii)Least Squares Method ---------->iv)Galerkin's Weighted Residual Method -----------> Piece-wise extension of Galerkin's Weighted Residual Method which results in the Birth of FEA.
