About Janet

As an author, I have led an illustrious living first in the United Kingdom, where I was introduced to Shakespeare. At high school in the US, I dived into American literature in HS; and in university, I ventured into African Lit.

About the lesson

My teaching experience both as a teacher, author and journalist enables me to engage the learner to explore and seek information, using the internet, textbooks, and the library. My typical lesson involves asking questions about the topic to be considered, followed by research guidance.

She synthesizes her real world experience with content to make history intriguing for secondary students. She is personable, and she will have you or your student completely engaged every lesson. 100% recommend!
