About Susan
As a learning and development professional with fifteen years' experience in the education sector, I can offer both a wide range of teaching skills and techniques and an in-depth understanding of individual learning styles. For example, you may have a natural preference for visual learning (using pictures and images), or may have a more logical mindset. Introducing music or a number of physical (kinaesthetic) activities may be what is needed to boost your learning. Everyone has a mix of learning styles, with some being more predominant than others—identifying this mix and working with it is the key to unlocking and nurturing talent. I have found that tutoring on a one-to-one basis is an ideal platform for encouraging genuine interest and commitment. While timetables and individual lesson plans are essential for helping students achieve their goals, vital components in that process are the desire to learn and the commitment to succeed.
