My Approach to Tutoring

I believe every student learns differently, so I start with a diagnostic session to identify gaps, learning style (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic), and goals. My methodology blends scaffolded instruction (breaking down complex topics into manageable steps) with active recall and spaced repetition—proven techniques for long-term retention. For subjects like English and exam prep, I use real-world materials (articles, past papers, simulations) to build both confidence and competence.

Typical Lesson Length
60 to 90 minutes—long enough for deep focus and practice, but short enough to maintain engagement. For younger or easily distracted learners, 45 minutes works best.

My Qualifications & Experience

KAZI holds a recognized teaching certification (e.g., TESOL/TEFL) and an Engineering degree, bridging analytical thinking with language instruction.
12+ years tutoring upper secondary (SPM, IGCSE) and adult learners.
Background in curriculum design and exam strategy for IELTS, MUET, and Cambridge English.

Who My Lessons Are For

Level: Upper secondary (Form 4–5 / SPM / IGCSE), pre-university, and adults.
Age: 16 years and above.
Needs: Exam preparation, academic writing, speaking fluency, grammar mastery, and business English.
How a Typical Session Runs

Warm-up (5 min): Quick review or icebreaker related to the last lesson.
Input (15–20 min): Teach one core concept with examples.
Guided practice (20–25 min): Work through exercises together.
Independent practice (10–15 min): Student applies the skill alone.
Feedback & homework (5–10 min): Correct errors, assign targeted practice.
I also use error analysis logs and progress trackers so students see their own growth—motivation skyrockets when they can measure it.

Why This Works
Students don't just memorize; they learn how to learn. And with KAZI’s structured yet flexible approach, lessons adapt week by week based on performance data, not just a fixed syllabus.
