I have known Mike Adams for over 4 years, first as a fellow classmate in a business class at Virginia Western and then as a friend. He is an active tutor at my local college, focusing on math and writing. Mike's excellent teaching strategies have made several students successful in their courses including ones I have been in. He also has spent time mentoring new students and prospective leaders to see their true potential not just academically but professionally and spiritually as well. Mike has done extensive computer work.  He has designed and built computers, installed replacement components, configured networks and many other services. He is also adept at troubleshooting various software problems. I believe Mike's skills fit superbly well in what is expected of a tutor.

Mike and I crossed paths one weekend. We talked about ourselves and I mentioned I wanted to go back to school. College was something I feared. Mike supported me with his wisdom of school. With his encouragement and many blessings I will be going to college full-time in the fall of 2018. He also told me that he was willing to support me along this journey the best he could. Mike's trustworthiness as a tutor can be best described by the level of accountability he exudes for his students. During the time I was tutored by him, Mike took extra time to understand my learning habits and helped me develop specific strategies that enhanced my learning of the course I was taking. Mike helped me understand that different academic subjects require different learning approaches be taken to achieve success. Mike is an amazingly caring and trustworthy person. He goes out of his way to do things for others and is always willing to help. He is easy going and laid back which makes for an excellent tutor. Mike puts students at ease and makes them comfortable to ask any question. He is incredibly brilliant. I have always thought it takes true superior intelligence to be able to break down complicated subjects in an easy way and make them understandable for others. He brings this skill to life. He is a great communicator and all around quality person. I have no hesitation recommending him as a teacher.

Micheal was my tutor at Virginia Western Community College for the Spring Semester of 2018. I can not recommend him enough. To begin with, he is an amazing person, he has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. He genuinely cares about every single student he helps and remembers everyone one of their names. I was struggling in a pre-calc course. When I say struggling, I was on the verge of failing. I started meeting him around the middle of the semester. We met almost everyday, some days 6 hours and some days 3. I needed the semester with a high C almost a B! It was my hard work and dedication and his hard work and dedication that made me succeed. MIKE IS AMAZING!

He was my calculus tutor in VWCC. He is a very knowledgeable nice and patient guy. Never gets tired of explaining math problems. If I didn’t understand the concept, he used different methods to get me involved. I highly recommend him
