About Sienna
My journey in chemistry began with a fascination for understanding how invisible particles interact to create tangible change. This interest led me to complete a B.S. in Chemistry, followed by an M.S. in Physical Chemistry, where I gained deeper insight into molecular behavior and reaction systems. Over the past 12 years, I have worked with students from varied academic backgrounds, helping them build confidence through clear explanation and consistent guidance.
I believe chemistry teaching requires patience and empathy. Many students struggle not because of ability, but because concepts are introduced too quickly or without context. I take time to break ideas into manageable steps, ensuring learners feel supported rather than overwhelmed. I emphasize understanding over memorization, helping students develop long-term confidence and independence.
Outside teaching, I stay connected to chemistry through academic reading, experimental analysis, and educational development. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I witness students transform uncertainty into understanding. Helping learners realize they are capable of mastering scientific concepts remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

I carefully explain how microscopic interactions between particles lead to visible chemical outcomes, helping learners connect theory with observable reality. Each lesson is structured to reduce confusion and replace it with clarity and curiosity.
The lesson approach adapts to the learner’s stage and goals. Beginners are guided patiently through foundational ideas such as elements, compounds, periodic trends, and simple reactions. Intermediate learners focus on quantitative problem-solving, reaction balancing, equilibrium concepts, and laboratory-based reasoning. Advanced learners refine their understanding of thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, and multi-step problem analysis. Practice questions, guided corrections, and structured explanation are woven throughout each session.
