About Zoe

My journey in chemistry began with fascination for how invisible particles and reactions create the physical world we interact with every day. I completed a B.Sc in Chemistry and later an M.Sc in Materials Science, where I explored both foundational chemical theory and modern applied developments. Over 12 years of teaching, I have supported students from many backgrounds in building confidence through clear explanation, patient guidance, and structured learning pathways.

I believe chemistry becomes approachable when students feel supported rather than pressured. My teaching style focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into understandable steps, using visual reasoning, real-world examples, and consistent practice. I encourage learners to ask questions freely, think deeply, and develop long-term understanding instead of relying on short-term memorization.

Outside tutoring, I stay connected to chemistry through scientific reading, exploring modern innovations, and continued interest in research developments. Teaching chemistry is deeply fulfilling because I witness students transform from uncertainty into clarity. Helping learners discover their scientific potential remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

About the lesson

Chemistry becomes far more enjoyable when students begin to see it as the science behind everyday change, from cooking food to creating medicines and new materials. In my lessons, I guide learners through atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, equilibrium, and energetics using explanations that feel clear, logical, and connected to real life. I focus on helping students understand the “reason” behind chemical behavior, so they do not feel stuck memorizing disconnected facts. Each class is designed to build confidence step by step through supportive teaching and structured practice.

My lesson approach is carefully adapted to each learner’s stage. Beginners receive calm guidance with the periodic table, basic reaction types, and foundational mole calculations. Intermediate students strengthen balancing equations, stoichiometry, acids and bases, titration reasoning, and equilibrium problem solving. Advanced learners explore kinetics, thermodynamics, organic mechanisms, and exam-level analytical chemistry challenges with deeper precision. Practice questions, guided feedback, and correction support are woven into every session to ensure consistent improvement.

Chemistry is a subject that develops both scientific curiosity and strong analytical thinking. As students gain mastery, they often become more confident in tackling complex problems and interpreting systems with clarity. My goal is to help learners feel empowered, capable, and genuinely excited about understanding the molecular world.
