About Mara
My interest in Chemistry began with a curiosity about how substances change and interact in everyday life. I completed my Bachelor’s degree followed by a Master’s in Chemistry, which helped me develop a strong understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical applications. Over the past 11 years, I have worked with students from different learning backgrounds, helping them overcome confusion and build confidence through clear explanations and structured teaching methods.
I believe that every student can understand Chemistry when concepts are explained in a simple and patient way. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex topics into smaller steps and using examples that make learning easier. I create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. This helps them build confidence, improve understanding, and develop a positive attitude towards the subject.
Outside of teaching, I stay connected to Chemistry by reading about new developments and exploring practical applications of chemical concepts. This helps me keep my lessons updated and relevant. Teaching Chemistry is very meaningful to me because I see students grow from confusion to clarity, and I enjoy helping them become confident and independent learners.

Chemistry becomes much easier when students understand how concepts connect instead of trying to memorise reactions and formulae without clarity. In my lessons, I focus on topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, acids and bases, and basic organic chemistry. I explain each concept in a simple and structured way so that students can clearly understand how one idea leads to another. By using step by step explanations and relatable examples, I help students build a strong understanding that supports both accuracy and confidence.
Each lesson is planned carefully according to the student’s level and pace of learning so that progress feels natural and steady. Beginners are guided through basic concepts with simple explanations and clear examples. Intermediate learners focus on applying concepts, balancing equations, and understanding reaction mechanisms. Advanced students work on problem solving, numerical chemistry, and exam preparation strategies. Every session includes practice questions, revision, and detailed feedback so students can improve consistently without feeling overwhelmed.
Chemistry also helps students develop logical thinking and analytical skills as they begin to understand how different substances interact and change. As they gain clarity, they become more confident in solving problems and explaining concepts in their own words. This growth supports both academic success and a better understanding of the world around them. My goal is to make Chemistry simple, clear, and engaging so that students feel confident and comfortable in their learning journey.
