About Ella
My interest in chemistry began with curiosity about how substances interact and transform at a fundamental level. This fascination led me to pursue an M.Sc in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, where I developed a strong foundation in chemical reasoning and experimental interpretation. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided learners from various academic backgrounds, helping them overcome confusion by building understanding step by step through patient explanation.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, adaptability, and encouragement. I focus on understanding how each student thinks and tailor explanations using diagrams, analogies, and structured breakdowns. I encourage learners to explain concepts in their own words, which strengthens comprehension and confidence. Lessons are paced thoughtfully so students feel supported rather than rushed.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with chemistry through continued study and applied problem solving. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow from uncertainty into confident thinkers who understand how chemical principles shape the world around them.

Chemistry becomes far more understandable when learners are guided to visualize what happens at the molecular level instead of only working with symbols and equations. My lessons focus on explaining how atoms bond, separate, and rearrange to create observable changes in matter. I introduce topics such as atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding, reactions, acids and bases, and thermodynamics through carefully layered explanations. Each idea builds naturally on the previous one, allowing students to form a clear mental picture of chemical behavior. Lessons are designed to feel calm, structured, and approachable, encouraging learners to ask questions and explore ideas without fear of judgment. By emphasizing reasoning over memorization, students develop deeper and longer-lasting understanding.
As lessons progress, I adapt content depth to suit each learner’s academic level and goals. Beginners work on understanding symbols, formulas, and basic reaction logic with confidence. Intermediate learners strengthen stoichiometry, calculation accuracy, reaction prediction, and laboratory-style reasoning. Advanced learners focus on multi-step problem solving, analytical chemistry concepts, and exam-oriented precision. Practice questions are selected carefully to reinforce understanding, and mistakes are reviewed in detail so learners can recognize patterns and improve steadily.
Chemistry lessons also help learners build patience, structured thinking, and confidence in their reasoning abilities. As understanding improves, students often become more curious and engaged.
