About Blaire
My fascination with Chemistry began with observing the transformations and interactions of matter, inspiring me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry. Through formal training and research experience, I developed expertise in reaction mechanisms, analytical techniques, and laboratory practices. Over 11 years of teaching, I have helped learners of various backgrounds understand complex chemical concepts, develop critical thinking, and gain confidence in both theory and experimentation.
I emphasize a structured, patient, and supportive teaching approach. Many learners initially struggle with abstract formulas or multi-step reactions, so I use clear explanations, practical demonstrations, and guided exercises. I encourage independent reasoning, experimentation, and curiosity, ensuring learners develop not only competence but also an appreciation for the logic and beauty of chemistry.
Beyond the classroom, I stay engaged with advancements in chemical research, analytical technologies, and real-world applications, integrating these insights into my lessons. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I see learners progress from uncertainty to clarity, competence, and confidence. Supporting students to master both conceptual and practical aspects of the subject remains the most fulfilling part of my professional journey.

Chemistry is best learned when learners can connect theoretical principles with practical applications, experimentation, and problem-solving. My lessons focus on topics including stoichiometry, chemical reactions, thermodynamics, equilibrium, organic chemistry, and analytical techniques, presented in a way that is approachable and engaging. I emphasize conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and methodical reasoning, ensuring students grasp the logic behind formulas and experiments. Each class combines guided exercises, step-by-step explanations, and contextual examples to cultivate both skill and confidence in chemistry.
Lesson structure is tailored to each student’s proficiency level. Beginners gain confidence with fundamental concepts such as the periodic table, basic reactions, pH calculations, and simple lab techniques. Intermediate learners explore more complex topics including reaction kinetics, organic synthesis, spectroscopy, and equilibrium principles. Advanced learners engage in problem-solving for multi-step reactions, mechanistic analysis, experimental planning, and applied chemistry in real-world contexts. Each session balances theoretical understanding, practical exercises, and reasoning support to build mastery and conceptual clarity.
Chemistry lessons foster analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity. Students learn to approach challenges methodically, predict reaction outcomes, and connect theory to practice. Many learners gain a sense of accomplishment as they conduct experiments, solve complex problems, and apply their knowledge to practical situations. My goal is to empower students to develop confidence, independence, and a strong conceptual understanding that enables success academically, professionally, and personally in chemistry.
