About Jose Luis
I am a medical student, I learned to play chess when i was 6 years old, at 10 I began to train at competitive level and between 15 and 16 I began to participate in local and state-level tournaments. At age 18 I started teaching mainly to children older than 8 years. After that i focused mainly on my major and left playing chess only as a hobby.

Personally I prefer to adapt myself to the student, in the case of children I try to make it a fun activity more than a theoretical class. In more advanced students I divide the class into the following categories (as long as the student agrees):
Opening: main openings and variants
Middle game: Tactic and patterns
Endgame: Calculation
Chess problems
I use 2 main waysof teaching; Analysis of games of great masters and games with the student himself.
