About Chrystian

Originally from Brazil, I have been in Canada for over 8 years. I always wanted to become a coach and share knowledge is one of my biggest passions in life. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing how much a person can change after being mentored. I have always practiced sports in my life for over 10 years but I mainly committed to Muay Thai and Karate. I taught Muay Thai for over 3 years in Brazil.
My main public were women that wanted to lose weight, reshape, learn self-defense and get more confidence. I also taught men that had the same goals and the odd times a few people that wanted to compete. After a few years I moved to Canada.
For a while, I had to focus on getting my permanent residence here. I got a degree in Computer Programming at Algonquin College. I love solving problems, which led me to become a Software Developer. After getting my PR, I became more and more inclined to return to coaching because this is my passion, this is what makes me wake up in the morning with a smile and ready to go. This is passion and reaching goals has always been my target.
I'm always happy to discuss what are your goals and how we can work together on this. It is much easier when two people are working towards a goal than doing by yourself. I will always be there for you.

About the lesson

My lesson plan varies according to the student goals, physical shape and mentality. To build confidence, we focus on that with multiple drills for you to see how much you can do. A typical first session with a full beginner is we go through your goals, set milestones and start with some warm up (can be skipping rope, some push ups, quick sprints, sit-ups etc), then we start with the basics of
- How to throw a punch
- How to block a punch
- How to block and punch back
- How to properly kick
- How to block a kick, and so on.
At the end we build a combo, do drills on the pads and we call it a day. If your goal is to lose weight, we will focus more on the cardio aspect of each drill, which can be challenging in the beginning but I will be there to push you through it so we can reach your goals together.
My main differential is I always focus on your goals. Everything we build together, we work on it together.
