About HOLY
Hi! I'm Holy, and I'm from Chengdu, China.
I believe cooking is about much more than recipes.
For me, every dish tells a story. A meal may only last an hour, but the memories we create around the table can stay with us for a lifetime.
Some remind me of walking home after art school through the old streets of Chengdu.
Some remind me of my mother's café.
Some remind me of the simple meals I missed most while studying abroad.
These memories are the reason I started teaching.
Chinese cuisine is famous around the world, and Sichuan cuisine is one of its most loved regional traditions. But beyond the bold flavors, I hope to help you discover the warmth, history, and everyday life behind each dish.
When we cook together, you're not just learning how to make authentic Sichuan food.
You're stepping into my hometown, hearing the stories behind the recipes, and sharing a meal with a friend from Chengdu.

Whether you're a complete beginner or already enjoy cooking, I'll guide you step by step in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Together, we'll:
Cook authentic Sichuan home dishes, such as Zhajiang Noodles, Mapo Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken, handmade steamed buns, and other Chengdu favorites.
Learn the ingredients, flavors, and simple cooking techniques that make Sichuan cuisine so unique.
Discover the stories, traditions, and history behind each dish—not just how to cook it, but why people in Chengdu love it.
Practice everyday English or Chinese naturally while we cook together (optional).
Enjoy our meal together after cooking, chat about life, travel, culture, or anything you're curious about.
Receive simple hand-drawn recipe notes, cultural tips, or mini Chengdu food guides created by me.
My goal isn't simply to teach you a recipe.
