About Kabir
I’m a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MPhil in Physics, specialising in the intersection of science and art. My teaching blends a holistic, interdisciplinary approach—where physics meets art history, conservation, and cultural heritage. I focus on how light interacts with pigments, how materials age, and how science can help preserve artistic treasures. In my sessions, we explore the physical properties of materials used in paintings, sculptures, and architecture. I introduce students to non-destructive testing techniques, showing how we can study delicate works without harming them. Art historical examples are central to my teaching—each brushstroke or material choice becomes a doorway into scientific discovery. I encourage critical thinking and design-based learning that mirrors real engineering tasks. My aim is to help students not just pass exams, but become confident in using physics for design and innovation. Assignments become easier when you understand the core ideas behind them.
