About Thembeka
I am a creative and vibrant individual with a keen interest in teaching. In the past, I have been exposed to various tutoring and teaching opportunities throughout my career- being highly skilled in teaching. I have a degree in Hydrology and Soil Science as a well as a post graduate degree in Soil Science. Throughout my pursuit in career I have been exposed to managing people and tasks for various volunteer projects in the environmental science field, I have become accustomed to using my patient nature in facilitating social learning and engaging dialog with the people to whom information is flowing from. This includes children, other professionals and adult community stakeholders. My organisational skills, leadership and hardworking and patient nature have been paramount to achieving these various teaching opportunities. I believe my desire to teaching English as a foreign language and my adequacy expressed in my skills and abilities will prove beneficial to the company- one that strives on producing students who are comfortable and confident speakers of the English Language.

I am a young woman with a very calm and thorough approach to my lessons. Putting that in context, I am typically highly focused on my students ability to grasp understanding from the lessons, practical application from the lessons and how such lessons become linked to others. For this reason I look to teach students, thinkers and enthusiastic people with a love for learning. Because of my style of teaching and my patient nature I enjoy teaching people who are at the lower levels of understanding the language- giving commendation and encouragement during and after lessons as I see them progress.
Lesson Structure- Every lesson is started by building rapport with the student. I ask simple questions to start the conversation and increase the students oral development. The lesson then progresses with visual teaching techniques using pictures and pointers to guide the student at an appropriate pace. Every lesson has a homework and/ exercise where the student is guided in applying their information and ends with a conclusion or summary.
