I approach ESL tutoring as a personalized journey that blends structured learning with encouragement, creativity, and cultural insight. About the lesson

In my experience as an ESL teacher, I have found that the best way to engage students is to combine structured lessons with a flexible, personalized approach that allows for spontaneity, creativity, and fun. Language acquisition is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar; it’s about using the language as a tool to express oneself, connect with others, and open up new opportunities.

I provide clear and systematic grammar instruction, ensuring that students understand the structure of the language and how to apply it in real-life situations. However, I believe that grammar should always be used in context, so I structure lessons around practical communication scenarios like social interactions, workplace discussions, or travel-related conversations.

This practical approach ensures that students can immediately apply what they’ve learned to situations they are likely to encounter. I also prioritize listening and speaking skills, encouraging students to engage in conversations as much as possible, even if it means making mistakes along the way.

Mistakes are part of the learning process, and creating a safe, supportive environment where students can take risks is crucial to their development. One of my most rewarding teaching moments came when I helped a student with a limited vocabulary develop the confidence to participate in a group conversation.
