About Katie
I achieved an A* grade for English Language in both Alevel and GCSE. I am currently studying advanced English at University.
I am taking my degree to be able to enter speech and language therapy; this requires me to be able to easily explain complicated things to patients and create professional, trusting relationships with people easily.
Tutoring will enable me to build these skills while helping you to build skills in English. I also struggled with exam nerves a lot myself and would like to offer students some relief from exam-pressure.
I also have autism and for this reason I believe I can tutor neurodivergent students in a more communicative way and have a better understanding than most tutors.

I can show you many revision techniques, things that we can do together but also prepare you to revise and study independently.
I am very well-versed in teaching SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar), which holds a large portion of marks in exams. My creative writing skills are also very good, I have won awards and had some work published.
I can tutor any level of secondary school and Alevel too. I am 19 myself which I believe gives a good, relaxed dynamic for the tutoring sessions.
