About Gesila
As an international student from the U.S., with an Arab and African background, I understand firsthand the challenges of assimilating into a different culture. I believe assimilation can be seen from many viewpoints, whether that’s moving to a new country, learning a new language, or adapting to new social norms. English, in particular, plays a pivotal role in this process, acting as a bridge to both communication and connection. I know how important it is to feel understood and confident in a new environment, and I’m passionate about teaching because I want to help others navigate that journey—empowering them to not just learn the language, but also to truly integrate, engage, and find their place in a new world.
