I am an enthusiastic English tutor who specialises in GCSE English Literature, English Language, and Creative Writing. My method is individualised, interesting and aimed at improving both confidence and exam technique. I break down complicated texts and subjects into comprehensible principles while encouraging students to develop their own perspectives and writing styles.
Lessons take approximately 60 minutes and include close textual study, essay drafting, exam-style questions, creative writing exercises and constructive criticism. I strive to make classes interactive rather than lecture-based, tailoring my approach to each student's strengths, limitations and learning objectives. In terms of creative writing, my sessions would be appropriate for everyone.
As an English student at King's College London, I have vast experience researching literature, interpreting text and generating high quality academic writing. I am particularly interested in assisting students in developing their writing and critical thinking skills.
