About Aleek
I am dancer turned to dance teacher for about 10 years, on and off, teaching a variety of styles, combined with teaching the history behind the types of dance taught. My classes have varied between 3 and 20 students and the majority of my students go on to join other dance groups in their school and even pursue a Dance degree.
I am also working on restarting my dance classes (future studio) called We Can Dance Too. I am looking to pursue my life long dream of becoming a dance teacher to pass on the knowledge I have acquired as a student myself.

I have learned to teach from a combination of the ways my own teachers taught me. I like teaching using the concept of repetition, so students can teach their own body muscle memory. That way, the foundation of each movement stays throughout the ascension to the next level of movement.
With this teaching method, I believe many students, especially beginners, will learn to retain dance movement much faster. I also believe that the more students learn this specific method, the more they can share with others they will find to teach along the way.

Aleek is a awesome, patient, positive and care-free teacher. Teaching different types of dance practices is her passion and her joy. She embraces movements while discovering new things about herself and other through dancing.
