About Edward
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with more than 8 years of experience teaching students from different backgrounds including school, college, and working professionals. I enjoy making learning simple and engaging.
My teaching approach is based on communication, flexibility, and encouragement. I customise my lessons according to each student’s goals and pace. I focus on building strong basics and improving gradually.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, rhythm training, and ear development. These help students become confident musicians. I also include song learning and practical exercises.
My strength is simplifying learning and making it enjoyable. I help students build confidence, improve consistency, and develop effective practice routines.
I believe in creating a friendly and motivating environment. My goal is to help students enjoy music and grow in their piano journey.

My teaching methodology is built around confidence, creativity, and motivation. I believe piano lessons should be a positive, inspiring, and personalised experience that fosters technical skill and artistic expression. Through consistent communication, I understand each student’s goals, challenges, and learning style, which allows me to create lessons that are engaging, effective, and tailored to their needs.
I emphasise creativity by encouraging students to improvise, compose music, and explore various musical styles. Flexibility ensures that lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, level, and learning preferences, making progress steady, enjoyable, and rewarding.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive approach strengthens both technical proficiency and musical understanding. My goal is to inspire students to become confident, expressive, and lifelong musicians who enjoy learning and performing music.
