About Marcia

I have been working in the field of Personal and Professional Development for over 15 years and have been delivering courses and one to one support for most of that time. My experience includes helping individuals, teams and organisations to have positive impacts on their environments. I hold an MSc in Mentoring and Coaching and a Certificate in Teaching and have been teaching and supporting in these field for many years. I presently teach within the local education services and university settings in my field on a session basis. My delivery methods include supporting you to manage the signs and symptoms of stress and build resilience; I can give you tools and techniques proven to build confidence and be more assertiveness in day to day life by helping you to focus on what is important! I have worked with a range of individuals and tailor my techniques to support your needs.

About the lesson

I am passionate about what I do and as a consequence I get great results. It is important however, for me to understand your needs and the reasons for your contact. Think about what you are trying to achieve by accessing the service(s) so that means asking yourself what will the outcome be and what do I (we, if you are representing a group or a team) want to be doing differently; this is called your outcome. Are you someone that prefers to work by themselves? If you are then the one to one services might be right for you or, are you someone that likes to hear and learn from what others are doing and saying? If this sounds more like you then the group sessions will better fit your needs. Of course there is the option to be part of both! For both types of intervention there is a need for me to ask you simple questions that you might not have thought of before. By asking questions and supporting you to look for answers I can help you to think about your next steps.

Details

Please note that one to one personal sessions are not charged by the hour but by the session. Typical sessions are an hour long however the duration of your session will be assessed and agreed with you. Also, training sessions and workshops are not charged by the hour and are typically charged by the length of the course i.e. half day, one-day, two-day etc. Additional charges will be applied if you would like me to travel to you or your organisation. If I am travelling to you then it is important that you have space and facilities that are conducive to learning, development and privacy as well as being free from interruptions.
