About Alex
I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Glasgow, and have been tutoring for around 5 years - both in person and online. I hold a master's degree in Astrophysics from the University of Edinburgh. As a doctoral student I spend all day engaging with both physics and maths, and so it is very natural to me to explain these concepts to others.

I think that anyone is capable of achieving in both maths and physics. Each student is different and my lessons will reflect that, being tailored to the needs of an individual and focusing on areas which pose a particular challenge. This could be either by spending time working on understanding concepts, or by focusing directly on example questions to practise techniques. I love discussing both subjects and am happy to engage with any questions that arise during lessons in a friendly and engaging way.
