About Renny

Hey! I’m currently an MSc student in Finance and Investment with a background in Economics, Sociology, and Political Science. I hold a BA (Joint Honours) and a Higher Diploma in Economic Science, where I earned a 2:2 and a 2:1 respectively. I’ve got a strong passion for breaking down the world of economics — especially micro and macro — in ways that are relatable and easy to grasp. I tutor up to undergraduate level, and I’m especially supportive of students who may be feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to help make the subject click.

Outside of academics, I’m the Director and Executive Assistant at ReachOut2All, a youth-led organisation focused on empowerment, mental health, and education. I’ve also stepped into the early stages of project management, gaining real-world experience leading initiatives and coordinating team efforts.

Fun fact: I was part of a team that won the 2021 Beazley x Code First Girls hackathon for creating an app concept to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint — so I know how to blend problem-solving with creativity!

If you’re looking for someone who understands the struggles of learning and genuinely wants to help you grow in confidence and clarity, I’m here for you.

I look at an issue a student is having in particular subjects so that way we may be able to tackle those problems and turn those challenges into strengths. Guide the student so that they would not have to struggle by themselves in times of need.

My pricing isn’t just about the time — it’s about the value, the preparation, and the journey we’re about to go on together. The first lesson is free, but let me be clear: this isn’t just a teaching session. It’s a consultation. We’ll take the time to: — Get to know each other — Talk through your goals, learning style, and current challenges — Discuss what kind of support you actually need — See what I can bring to the table and if we’re a good fit as a team I believe learning is personal — so that first hour is about building a real connection, not jumping straight into textbook content. I charge £30/hr because you’re not getting surface-level teaching — you’re getting tailored, practical, and engaging sessions based on my academic background (BA in Economics + Higher Diploma in Economic Science with a 2:2 & 2:1) and current MSc Finance & Investment studies. I specialize in micro and macroeconomics up to undergraduate level, with added experience in early-stage project management too. My 5-hour and 10-hour packs are discounted for students who are in it for the long run — it’s more affordable and allows us to build momentum together. Webcam sessions are priced at £25/hr to keep things flexible and budget-friendly for remote learners. If I’m travelling to you, there’s a £10 travel fee, just to cover time and expenses — nothing over the top. At the end of the day, I set these rates because I pour real time and care into each student’s progress. This isn’t just tutoring — it’s coaching, confidence-building, and helping you actually get it.
