About Edward
I am a graduate of Birkbeck College, University of London, specialising in English Literature (First Class BA Hons), with a Master's Degree in 20th century literature (Distinction, 77% overall). I have a broad knowledge of English texts from Chaucer through the great English dramatists of the Elizabethan and Jacobean age, through High Modernism and beyond. I have an academic interest in genre writing, in particular Science Fiction - my Master's dissertation graded 85% was on 1950s and early 1960s British science fiction. I would like to pass on my learning and enthusiasm to younger students.

Personalised approach to tutoring - every learner is different. In addition to teaching the curriculum I can offer a wider and deeper appreciation of literature which will benefit you beyond exams. 1 hour lessons but can be flexible to suit you. I do not have experience yet as a tutor, I am looking to gain it so prices will reflect this. Lessons for ages 11 plus.
